JACOB JENSEN presents the Eclipse Series of watches, designed exclusively for women. The Eclipse Series is not just a way to tell the time, its bracelet-style design is also an understated yet stylish piece of jewellery.
“The Eclipse Series incorporates a femininity in its design as well as a robustness of construction, which makes this a truly contemporary watch,” says Chief Designer Timothy Jacob Jensen, who has been responsible for running the design studio since 1990, when he took over from his father.
“The quality of the design is recognisable from a distance yet it doesn’t compete with a woman’s individual sense of style, but rather complements it. While mobile communications technology may enrich our lives in many ways, there’s nothing that can beat the convenience of glancing down at your wrist to find out the time, while also appreciating this thought-provoking, tactile piece.”
The Eclipse Series represents a valuable addition to the well-established range of watches by JACOB JENSEN which over the years have won a number of international design awards. In March 2013, the Eclipse Series received the internationally recognised quality label for excellent design, red dot design award. To date, Jacob Jensen design have recieved a total of 16 Reddot Awards and 1 honourable mention. Later in October 2014, the Eclipse Series recieved its second international award, “The German Design Award 2015: Special mention” which is the official design award for Germany presented by the German Ministry for Economics and Technology.
The watch design embodies the discreet beauty for which JACOB JENSEN has become renowned. The band is composed of brushed stainless steel in silver, gold and black with a PVD finish, which gives the watch added durability in either silver, gold or black. The watch’s case and dial features several striking material combinations; a steel case with a silver dial; a steel case with a black dial, a steel and gold case with a silver dial, a black case with a black dial or a gold case with a black dial. Each one provides a beautiful contrast. All models feature a mineral crystal lens and a simple buckle-fasten system. The watch is just as suitable for everyday wear as it is for more formal occasions. Either way, the Eclipse Series of watches is the ideal design-led accessory.
